How long have you been a KISS fan for and what was the first KISS record you heard? I've been a KISS fan since 1977. The first KISS record I heard was DESTROYER and my first concert was KISS 1979 in Abliene, Texas. I've been a fan ever since.
What was the first bit of KISS merch you bought? The first piece of KISS merchandise I bought was a KISS logo belt buckle (when I was 7), and fortunately I still have it to this day!!
What is your favourite piece you own, and which is the most rarest? My favourite piece of my collection is my white KISS ALIVE II jacket from 1977 LA Forum shows (below). I was told there were only a few hundred of these made for VIP's. I picked up this item at a record store in Los Angeles in the mid-90's. The rarest item I have is an original KISS DESTROYER Concert poster (above) from 1976, Furth (Nurenburg), Germany. This was the tour where they wore the ALIVE! costumes. My 8th grade English teacher gave me this poster in 1983.
What KISS rarity would you most like to add to your collection? Well, like a lot of KISS fans I would LOVE to find the KISS Phono (at a good price). I would also like to find the KISS Toy Guitar to replace the one my brother and I smashed (like Paul Stanley) in our driveway in Texas back in 1979.
What does your family or partner think of your KISS obsession? We're all KISS fans so it's all good. My coolest KISS moment: Randomly running into Paul Stanley (Not literally - Ed) at the Grocery Store in Los Angeles March of 1996. My brother was in town sightseeing. We had the video camera going the whole time. Ironically, I had just purchased KISS Alive II on CD about 2 hours before this chance encounter. Paul signed the CD sleeve. I've included the link to the video below. This was about 2 weeks before they announced the Reunion Tour. You can't stage this stuff. http://youtu.be/WUs6eV7PiiA
