How long have you been a KISS fan for, what was the first KISS record you heard? About 30 years, now. DESTROYER was the first record I heard
What was the first bit of KISS merchandise you bought? There is no telling this many years later…if we are talking about EVERYTHING, the answer would be vinyl
…but if we are just talking strictly merchandise, then I’m going to guess that it was the Rub N Play set.
What is your favourite piece you own, and which is the most rarest? My favourite AND rarest would be the personally obtained Paul and Gene autographed MINT copy of the ORIGINALS 2. I also have 2 white lable promo copies in MINT condition of the KISS first LP.
What KISS rarity would you most like to add to your collection?
A pinball machine
What do your family or partner think of your obsession? My parents ALWAYS supported me with Kiss growing up. They actually bought me my first record on my 4th birthday and my Dad took me to see them for the first time on the Creatures tour when I was 8. My wife thinks it’s a little strange at times but she’s cool with it too I guess…
Anything else we should know about your collection? I collected Kiss heavily throughout my entire life…and in 1999, I decided to sell off most of my collection. I did it for several different reasons but the main 2 were that I needed to pay off some debt and, also, that it was getting out of hand. I have continued to purchase different things through the years that peaked my interest but it wasn’t until the last few months that I started building my collection again. I basically have taken the inventory list of my original collection and started looking for the items that I wanted back most. What you see in the pics, for the most part, is the start of that rebuilding process.
